The typical range of operating temperatures for LED lights is from -40°C to 50°C. Unlike compact fluorescents, LEDs work very well in cold temperatures. However, hotter temperatures like saunas might not be appropriate for LED’s so we always advise getting an assessment to determine what lights will optimize lifetime and performance.
All of the LED lights that Lightenco uses are Energy Star and Design Lights Consortium (DLC) listed, meaning they have been thoroughly tested to meet quality and performance standards for different environments, as well as meeting the cUL and cETL safety standards.
Lightenco always implements a thorough assessment of the current lighting to understand exactly what is needed for each unique location by analyzing colour temperature, the quality of the light (Colour Rendering Index-CRI), light output in lumens, voltage, location restrictions from the surrounding environment, dimming or controls needs and uses this information to select the correct voltage and wattage of LED that best fits the situation.
