“Lightenco worked with one of Canada’s largest hotels, Sheraton Centre Toronto and Marriott Canada to complete a sizeable turnkey lighting retrofit. Sheraton Centre’s goal was to reduce its carbon footprint, reduce energy and maintenance costs and to enhance safety and guest experience via the lighting retrofit. In total over 3000 T8 fluorescent lamps running at 32W per lamp were replaced with maintenance free 12W LED tubes in back of house spaces throughout the hotel and approximately 5500 T5 fluorescent lamps running at 39W were replaced with 15W LED tubes in guest room mirrors.”
“Lightenco worked with Minto Group to complete a full conversion of the parking garage at Minto Yorkville in Toronto. This involved changing older fixtures with fluorescent ballasts to brand new LED vapour tights incorporating motion sensing technology to take energy savings to the max. The new fixtures are rated for 100,000 hours, which is over 10 years if operated 24/7! Additionally, the new fixtures are extremely robust rated IP66 for strong jets of water avoiding long term issues with corrosion / fixture failure. The garage is brighter, safer and more comfortable for residents. All this combined with a reduced impact on Minto’s carbon footprint lead to a win-win-win and then some.”
“Working in very cold spaces? Lightenco and LEDs do that very well! Confederation Freezers in Brampton involved working in very cold temperatures to replace nearly 400 older sodium / halide high bay fixtures operating at 400W with brand new LED high bay units running at 130W. The new LED high bays, rated for 100,000 hours and to operate in up to -40C temperatures incorporated occupancy sensors to dim the units down when no one is working in the area to maximize energy savings and Confederations Freezers’ carbon footprint. The project also included replacing approximately 60 outdoor lights with brand new LED fixtures. Overall the project created brighter, safer, more productive workspaces inside and out!”
“Lightenco worked with GWLRA at Canada Life Campus in Toronto to convert 180 Simcoe to LED in 2024. The team worked around GWLRA & tenant schedules to ensure that the impact on building operations was kept to a minimum. From the audit and incentive paperwork to project implementation and post-project service, the Lightenco team exceeded all expectations and I would highly recommend them for any lighting project.”
“In 2024, Lightenco completed a full retrofit of Sun Life Centre (99 Bank & 50 O’Connor) in Ottawa for BentallGreenOak. Covering 1,000,000 sqft, this project included entering spaces for over 70 tenants including many requiring escorts and security measures, installing over 20,000 LED lights and fixtures in the buildings, and procuring nearly $500K worth of incentives for the project on our behalf. The service pre, during and post-project is top-notch and the project was executed on time and on budget. I would not hesitate to recommend Lightenco for other commercial retrofits.”
“From the early planning days, through the installation, we had a great experience with Lightenco. They kept on schedule throughout the project and the final product looked clean and well installed. Of particular note, the post installation support has been great as well. We’ve had the ability to reach out when needed for information or assistance. Our experience with Lightenco was resoundingly positive and we would certainly recommend them to other properties who were looking to install an EV charging system.”
“Lightenco recently completed a very large lighting retrofit at The Ritz-Carlton Toronto converting nearly
2000 fixtures & lamps to LED. The new fixtures consume on average about 70% less energy than the
previous fluorescent lamps, contain no mercury and were recycled safely by the installation team. This
project lines up perfectly with our and Marriott’s commitments to sustainability in terms of reducing our
carbon footprint, waste management and operating more sustainable hotels. The project was executed by
a highly professional team, on time and on budget. I couldn’t recommend Lightenco more.”
